marv try this model and brake lights and see if you like them. I redid both brake lights and fixed up some new textures. the mas file is name V2 and theres all the loose parts in the other folder.. youll see. let me know. Ill try and work on the cockpit if I can in the next day or 2. www.mediafire.com/?zq7d92dx7y9dbcfThanks. I will give the v2 .mas file a try. BTW - please have a look at the ZX-T backfires if you can. I have spent a long time with that SOB and I can't seem to get it to work. At this point I suspect a physics issue because I tried the backfires it came with and then grafted in the one from the Probe which I know work and neither of them would work with the ZX-T. I remember once I asked SlimJim about this for the Muscle Cars and he pointed me to a physics parameter but in my old age I've forgotten which one it was. It turns out he was right because I changed something and it worked for those last three cars I was having trouble with.

That Vette cockpit looks pretty good. Is it from Merlin's conversion or a different one?
At this point, I am not sure how to proceed. I would like to use the stuff you posted as V2 but if what you just posted is something different then I will hold off. I really don't want to dive into another full conversion of the car because I have a few others I would like to finish up first.

i already converted the merlin vette but marvin wanted me not to cause he already made textures for his version.
hey marvin, are you able to get those textures for me that are missing to make your vette to work please?

Not exactly. What I wrote was it would take a lot of effort to make it work right and I am not convinced that it is worth it. As it is, skins do not appear and there are three bodies and and wings to deal with.
I have not made the V2 Vette from Donnie work yet. I have to do real work for a while today and then I will take a shot at it.

www.mediafire.com/download/et6gxmp1qgpl36r/VetteT710_3.rarThat's link to a revised version of what Donnie did (he called it V2). I call it V3 and V2 is the version that you did Alex. I did just a few things to what Donnie had : changed a few material names to use those in the shared.mas file, added the other driver back in, changed the default texture to use the smaller one in the .mas file, moved the front wheels. This is intended to replace the previous version entirely. I would move that one to somewhere the game can't "see" it and then drop these files in its place. The .gen file is set up so the car can be in any directory and work with any mod. Please let me know how it works for you.

I gained some insight to the ZX-T's backfires. I copied the Probe's backfire meshes and put them on the ZX-T and they work. However, there is definitely something odd with the car's physics. I am convinced of this because it does not backfire nearly as often as other cars do. I wrote earlier that they didn't work and that was because the car wasn't going fast enough for it to happen. I raced it at a higher speed course and I saw the backfires occasionally but not in all the same places as the other cars. Now I just need to move them into the correct place and determine what is inhibiting them.

works good now and textures are nice! but i think i might swap out these wheels for merlins as they seem a little better in texture quality all it needs now is a cockpit

Merlin's version had three different wheels. If you convert all of them I will set things up to use a GenString and have selectable wheels for each car. When you upload them, please upload only the wheel meshes and I'll sort it out from there. I have his mod too so I can get the textures for them. When I get some time I'll have a look at converting Merlin's version of the car. It's merging materials and setting their properties that take the time and then figuring out what textures we have shared. I'm useless with cockpit gauges though. That is, if you think it is significantly better. There are other cars I would like to convert also.
