I am checking in to see if anyone knows why I might see the inside of a body part in the virtual mirrors (pic below)? It does not show up in the regular rear view in cockpit view, only in the nose camera view when virtual mirrors are on. My OCD won't let me get past seeing this, and I have been digging around for a clue as to why this shows in this one car. If anyone has an idea why this would show, I would appreciate any tips! Thanks! GregSS

This is a weird one! What I would do is identify the part you are seeing and then find the mesh file for it. Once I found the mesh file, I would load it into 3DsimEd and see if I could see a material or object property that looks out of place or might cause that. I have never seen that because I rarely turn on the virtual mirrors and I never use the nose camera.

Well, I am not sure where this is coming from but EVERY car in a mod I downloaded (GT1_2010 mod by SandroX) has the same issue. Either there is some kind of texture missing that I have not found (I used 3dsimEd and looked for missing textures), or there is something very wrong with my system. I installed a fresh rFactor and this mod and still have the issue. Shame, since the mod is pretty well done for the genre it represents, but I cannot find where the issue is.

Apparently I am wrong, it is the TVCockpit view that has this issue, and I have now tried several mods and most of them are having this issue...not all...but most. This is really strange.

I just remembered something - this could be a player file issue. Look in your .PLR file, in Rfactor\UserData\player_name. There are two values that might be causing this :
Self In TV Rearview="0" // add values for any that should be visible (0=none) Self In Cockpit Rearview="0" // add values for any that should be visible (0=none)
If those are not zero then some parts will be visible.

Sorry, had to work for a couple days (I really, really want to retire). Checked both and they are "0"...I also found: Rearview Cull="1" // Whether to cull objects in the rearview based on visgroups in the SCN file But "1" seems like the value I would want, I tried setting it to "0" and no luck their either.
I loaded up a few new mods, and honestly, 70-80% have this issue. It is baffling to me. Your IMSA_GTX mod does not seem to have any that I have found yet! Kudo's to you!
Thanks, GregSS

I found it! It is in the Cockpit.ini in the line: MirrorPos=(0.10, 0.9, -0.95) // Mirror position
The mirrors are apparently focused too far DOWN...raising it up slightly makes the issue disappear!
Learn something new...
Thanks, GregSS
