In the new pack is there a physics file missing? From what I can see there isn't. There are some more cars in the new pack so you might want to get it if you don't have it.

For anyone interested in painting cars, here's an interesting livery I ran across : Obviously, this is on a Camaro but I think it would be cool on virtually any other car, like a Monza for example.

Hi first have to say just found this forum and really like it also i love these cars thanks marvin for bringing them to rfactor I am going to attempt a few Australia and NZ Sport Sedan liveries from the late 70's early 80's see how i go may get a small field together. This first one is the Bob Jane Monza below is a very much wip pic these stripes are killing me
This Monza had a similar livery in a later season when Peter Brock drove it then it raced in a third livery when it raced in the Sandown round of the world endurance championship I will attempt all three liveries. Depending how I go there is a few other Monza liveries, a couple of porshe 935's, a Jag, a mustang and a Kadett (Torana A9x in real life) livery I would like to attack so with luck may end up with 5-8 Australian Sports Sedans to battle it out Thanks Andrew

I've finally got my computer back up to snuff and RF mods installed... then back to work on the jags and a few others that I feel we need more of... I do ask a favor/suggestion tho, while I'm working on these skins could you try swapping the characteristics of the mustang with a copy of the capri. the pony should not be the back marker that it is, and the capri should be close enough to actual performance... and if you do it you'll be able to easily update the mod (please) lol and welcome bears, Nice to see someone else showing some interest in these beasts. your work looks good and I can't wait to see more.

I've made physics for most cars based on the original GTL mods and the most trustworthy real-life sources I can find. I can post them if you like.
What Jags are you doing, zych? It'd be great if you could make the first Jag XJS car, the one with the less excentric bodywork. I'd like to make the later ETCC skins on that car, the only XJS that are in the game now is the later car, which was far from a touring car.

I've got the #48 Wardair jag (pictured a few pages ago) nearly done, also a pair of fictional castrol jags and silk cut jags.
I don't have the programs needed to re-work the body models to make the less extreme bodied cars out of it, altho I seem to remember there being a more touring based jag in another mod I had at one point... I'll try look for it again. if anyone knows what programs are needed for such modeling... I'd be interested in giving it a shot, I've got some expirence doing such in a few other games.
but aside from the jags I've also got plans to replicate a few of my buddies SCCA skins. I've done my Z already (altho we NEED a 280ZX instead haha) I'll have a friends RX-7 done about as soon as he decides how he's going to paint the real car. and if we ever get one of those skylines in game I'm planning a 510 copy...
and yes if you have better physics for most of the cars I would love to give em a shot... out of the cars i've test driven (most of em) the Mustang and Pantera are the ones I feel need the most work. the mustang being so caddy wampus its almost undriveable... whoever built the original file appears to have built it as a Dirt oval car lol, its not adjustable enough to even setup symetrically.

Sure. Here are "historically accurate" physics files for the IMSA GTX project cars. Don't thank me, thank Brickyard Legends, Team21 and speedster63 first of all, for making these cars in the first place and marvinwankerstein for converting them to rFactor. The physics are based on the original Brickyard Legend mods for GT Legends. Except the Opel Kadett, which is based on the GTL mod by Team21 and the Ferrari 512 is by speedster63. I have had to do some research on my for the Ferrari, though I am not very pleased with it, it is silly stable at top speed for example. I have not touched the tyre files. Some physics details are from GTPC (drivetrain, brakes and radiator settings on some cars, not all). They are still very competitive with each other. Just the Jag is a bit off the pace from the other bigger cars. Hope you like it. I hope I haven't missed anything, like a gear ratios file making some cars disappear from in-game or anything silly like that. www.mediafire.com/?3js1c4f5o1fnk8j

This is great news Mr. cheever. I really appreciate your contribution!
For the most part, I borrowed physics from DRM cars because my primary motivation was to add more cars to race with those. The original four IMSA cars: Monza, Corvette. Camaro, and Cobra had physics by smallblockhero. Regardless of all that, I am glad to see someone take an interest and try to enhance this mod. Thank you very much!

I am REALLY looking forward to see your skins guys. If you need additional wheels please let me know and I can put those together. I can't paint very well at all so if different colors are needed you will have to supply those. I can incorporate them into the appropriate models fairly easily though. Please feel free to let me know what I can do to help. Lately, I have been suffering from ADD a bit. I have looked at several cars and messed with them a bit but I just haven't managed to finish them. Currently, I have the Toyota Celica finished except I can't sort out the brake lights - they constantly give CTDs no matter what I do. I have rebuilt them five times now with no success. If someone else wants to have a go at it you are welcome to. It has been uploaded and the brake lights are commented off in the .gen file right now. I also have a Datsun 510 nearly finished. In my testing I found it just kills the framerates so I didn't pursue it much farther. I can upload it if someone is interested. The Aston Martin needs quite a bit of attention because it was made rather poorly and constantly causes CTDs right now. Beyond those, I have looked at the Porsche 914 and Lancia Stratos and figured out what chassis styles I like and the skins for them. Both have lots of chassis variants so they'll take a bit of time to convert. Actually, the car I am working on at the moment is the Ford Escort Mk. I - the Group 5 car. It is in pretty good shape except the pivot point for the driver's helmet is messed up. I added some parts like backfire and brake lights and I need to check out the cockpit gauges. This will probably be the next car finished when I can get the time to wrap it up. The Skyline Fatboy needs some material adjustments along with brakelights and backfire. I'll probably address this one next. So, those are the ones in my queue currently and I have downloaded several other cars I would like to convert if I can find the time like the Nissan KGC110, VW Scirroco, an Alfa Romeo, and an Opel. I sure wish I didn't have to work for a living.

Thank you very much! Nice! I understand that you used the DRM physics. I am working on putting these cars in their right places along with the GTPC mod. Yes, I am a history buff. It'd be nice to have the Stratos! I would love to have both the turbo and the GTU version of them. Great looking cars. Just don't wear yourself out.

Cheever, I think you and I need to work together, I've spent the last couple days scrounging and compiling as many historical cars as I can and been working on sorting them out in groups more similar to current vintage racing categories as close to era correct as I can...
I've managed to score hordes of GTP/Gr.C cars more of the early 90s era so they dont quite fit with the DRM/GTX cars.
what we really need is someone to convert burd phillips' GTO/GTU carset from SCGT lol but most would complain of low poly.

Hehe, I'm mostly trying to complete the earlier years of the GTPC mod, which is why I'd love to have the Brickyard Legends mod cars in rFactor. They're fantastically detailed and have great physics, so to have them on the same platform as GTPC would really complete the era.

I know the BLT guys have a bunch of 935s coming someday and I am really looking forward to those a lot. The other cars I would like to see are the Lola T600 and March 82G and 83G. Those two and the 956 were the pioneers of the GTP era. I have several T600s from SCGT but I am hesitant to convert them - mostly because of the skins. Anyway, those are the cars I really wish VLM or BLT would make. With those and the Mustang Turbo, we would have a really awesome set of Group 5, GTX, and GTP cars.
Is anyone interested in helping or checking out the cars I mentioned previously - the Celica, 510, or AMR V8?
