Sure, there is a way. You just have to take the time to edit all of the .veh files and add the years in. I am not sure whether the year should be in the category or the class though. I guess it depends on how you want the selection menu to look. Then you have to paint the cars that were in the races. I have no interest in doing that but you are certainly welcome to. Thanks so Much What is that car With Puma on it

Hello. I downloaded the Mustang GTX car that is on this thread. I really wanted it to race the other DRM cars. Does anyone know how to, and can explain to me, how to associate this car to the DRM mod I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I do it by 'merging mods' and there are two ways to do that. You can either pick a 'base' mod and adapt all other cars to work in it or you can convert mods to work in the 'all cars' mode. That's what all of these cars are set up to do. I never add mods into other mods so I am not going to help with that. Mostly because I don't have any mods in their unaltered state so I can't do any testing without re-installing I am not interested in doing that. I always make mods work in the all cars mode and then I can race any mod with any other mod so I can get some really interesting combinations of cars.
In my download directory there is a file called DRMgenFiles.zip. This has new .gen files that will allow the cars of the DRM mod to work in the all cars mod. There is also a zip file of the original .gen files so you can restore things later. There are actually three .zip files in there. The originals, the files changed to work in the all cars mode, the changed files optimized for minimum memory use. Unless you race without the 4GB patch you don't absolutely need the optimized version. It does help the frame a bit if you don't have the best video card.
Basically, you just pick which version of the .gen files you want to use, extract that zip file from the archive, and then copy those files to your DRM mod's directory and overwrite the originals. If you can't deal with that kind of thing then I wouldn't recommend messing around with the files because you can easily foul things up.
An important thing to remember about using the all cars mode is every car in your installation will show up in the menu but they might not work if they haven't been adjusted. In fact, the vast majority will not work correctly. For this reason, I make a directory I call "RF_hold" where I place all of the mods I am not going to race with. I drag the ones I want to race with over to my Rfactor installation's vehicles directory. This also helps to speed up the load time of the game since it doesn't have to analyze a bunch of cars in mods you aren't going to race with. I do with cars of this mod too - I drag over only the ones I want to race with.
So, that's what I do and the basis for how I have built this mod. If you aren't comfortable moving files around and that kind of thing then I don't recommend doing this because it is very easy to completely foul up your installation. I have almost 6000 cars in my installation and this is how I deal with them. Good luck.

That is absolutely fantastic. I'm learning some, slowly. Thanks a lot. So where would I find your download location, then I see what I can't mess up over here. Thanks again.

By the way I wanted to ask. Is this for rFactor 1? I saw some talk about rFactor 2 in this thread. Thanks again.

Holy crap. So I installed GTPC and put the Mustang where she needs to be and can see her in the startup screens. Beautiful. However, when I load a track for practice, it freezes and I get a "Instance FFSPINDLE (parent: SLOT000) has no meshes. Check scene entries for errors." Really don't know what to do about that. Does the same for RFSPINDLE, LRSPINDLE, and RRSPINDLE. Other cars for the original mod work fine. Well, except for that 956, but that's a problem with the GTPC mod, I guess.

The Volkswagen Scirocco has been uploaded. It has 23 skins, 9 body types, and 12 types of wheels. Physics are from original mod with parameters adapted for rfactor. Original sound files are included. Here is a shot of them in action. download mod?

Because there are a few .dds file missing, namely #599 Stratos Turbo, the Datsun 240Z of #6 Bon Temps and #54 Glenn Klimek plus would wish to add more skins from GTL
and because I have the cars from GTL, is there a way I can extract the .gtl file and get the skin. Thanks

Any chance there is an Escort like this in that mod of yours? That looks like a blast to drive, and in division II it might be competitive as well!
