Boh after installation of mod jsuis a little decue there are just two three model exclusive here you have already to bring otherwise it puts the group c direct in tweak the rfm all track And cars it is not otherwise it looks not bad I am grateful of the accomplished work of modder

The Datsun 280ZX is now ready for download. There are 8 skins, 5 body styles, and 5 wheel styles. At this point in time I have not seen a template for it but there is an all-white car, #38, that could be adapted fairly easily I think. One caveat - I am not very good at cockpits and I could not get the camera positions sorted out for this car. If anyone can do that please share your work with us. This car could use a little help with those.

I'll take a look and see if I can figure something out with that dash... **EDIT!** First thing I tried hit the nail on the head... in the cockpit txt file... use these numbers up top Eyepoint=(0.327, 0.55, 0.15) CameraTarget=(0.000, 0.600, 0.150) MirrorPos=(0.0,0.73,-0.30) FrontWheelsInCockpit=0 // change to 0 for closed wheel cars CockpitVibrationMag=0.004 // default is 0.006
HeadMaxPos=(0.050,0.015,0.012) // default is (0.06,0.02,0.02), first number is left-to-right movement with the head roll HeadMaxOri=(0.050,0.050,0.20) // default is (0.10,0.10,0.30), last number is head roll
the one thing that bugs me is... why is the wing so small?? it should be almost double the length (comes out to the rear bumper) and a little taller not sure if maybe DJibsone or someone else wants to take a crack at expanding it? I'd be happy to take pictures as I own the actual homologation model of this car with the exact same wing these cars used.
as for the ASC mod, I have to agree it needs alot of work... I almost felt as if I'd been hacked as most of whats been accumulated is very similar to what I've spent the last couple years collecting and organizing (never intended to release but I may make it selectivly availible as it's an absolutely GINORMOUS amount of content spreading all decades.

apparently there is more than one cockpit so it didn't fix all the cars, I'll work on it when I get off work...
and I don't want to draw out an arguement... but the wing is seriously too small... I'll prove my point when I get home, but it really is too small, its really more of a whale tail than a spoiler... 360Lbs of downforce @100mph.... you can honestly feel it pushing the car down at 70 on the highway... i've got GOBS of pics of the ZX race cars, and my own ZXR in the garage...
we're missing I think 8 skins (off the top of my head) that I WILL be painting for us.

ok I'm home from work and figuring out whats going on with the cockpits, in the process figured out something else that makes me happy once I re-work a few more things
the 280ZX was kind of a unique beast in the race world... the way the rules were written the car was allowed to race in the GTU class with the 2.4L version of the engine out of the 240Z, while some teams ran the car in the with its 2.8L configuration in GTO more or less as back markers; untill '81 when the 280ZXturbo came out... once boosted they were able to outrun the Moby Dick porsche's down the daytona superstretch, there fore they ended up winning...ALOT
I'm gonna crack on the cockpits for now, but when I'm all done we should have 3 other configurations of the car, with about 6-7 skins being set as Div II cars and sightly slower than the 3-4 that will be set as Div.I cars, with the 6 teams that ran the turbo cars I'll try to rework with power to put up the fight that they should!
not to mention I'll be putting my real life skin on one of these... not sure wich class I'm gonna run yet.. probably most accuratly would be a low end GTO , as I'm running a very hopped up 2.8 in the real one.

Take a look at the physics files of the original GTL mod, BLT's physics are always very accurate.

getting the year started off right. got started on my personal skin, going for as close of an appearance as I can get to the way my real one looks... having the model in game is making me want to put the fender flares on my car... LOTS left to clean up and add but its a start I took a stab at changing the power levels... crashed the game after 10 laps or so... O well for now... having fun in the paint shop

I'm using the BLT mod's engine data, but since GTL has no boost level options, I don't know how to implement that in the rFactor car. I'm using the boost data from the Lancia LC2, but then it overheats quite easily. How was the real 280ZX turbo, prone to overheat or not?
