Here are two shots of the newest entry to the party. This is the Porsche 914 GTU. This car has nine different body styles, eleven different wheels styles, and five different cockpit styles. There are fifteen different skins for it right now. It currently uses sounds and physics from the 911 GTU but those can be easily replaced. This is car number 24 in the set and number 12 in Division II.

Here's the next car for the mod. It's almost ready - I just need to fix the brake lights. It's the Nissan KGC110.

The Nissan KGC110 is ready and has been uploaded. This conversion has 23 skins, 1 body style, and 7 wheel styles. Originally the car came in "normal" and racing styles but the racing version had very few skins for it so I skipped it.
This is the 25th car in the mod. I have one other car I am working on slowly and, beyond that, I am open to suggestions. Please remember my criteria for cars in this mod: I prefer that they have splitters and spoilers and racing liveries. I also prefer them to be from the mid-70s to mid-80s so they fit well racing with the other cars in this mod and the DRM cars.

nice as always,
if the racing version is more aggressively flared out I'd be up for puttin some skins together for it too, also it may be possible to easily adapt/convert the skins from the street bodied cars to the race cars... I've had the luck of having 2 cars with close enough shape it was possible to mostly copy/paste the skin then make a few tweaks...

Interesting thought. I'll see what I can do about getting the racing version converted. They made this mod in a rather screwy way - the two versions of the car are completely separate and I really don't want to do that. I'll try to make them selectable with the GenString.

I managed to merge to the versions of the KGC110 into one. That is, with one exception. They have different .gen files because there are are some parts used by one car and not the other. Anyway, version 1.1 of the Nissan KGC110 has been uploaded. The only change is the addition of the racing version of the car with two skins - a JPS-sponsored car and a Canon-sponsored car which is shown in the screen shot. Next I am going to fix a couple of errors that have become apparent. Both involve headlight cover transparency. One is on the Monza the other is on the Pantera. I am surprised I had not noticed the problem with the Pantera earlier. Maybe because it's only on the Le Mans version of the car. Anyway, that is my next task and then I'll choose another car to convert. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for more cars.

The Pantera's headlight problem has been fixed. It was a little more involved than I expected it to be but it's done. An update file has been uploaded to the IMSA_GTX folder called Pantera_update_v1.1.rar. It contains four files that need to be installed into the DeTomaso_Pantera directory. The full path is saved in the archive so that should be easy. No files should be overwritten by these. On to the Monza headlight issue next.

took a look at the race KGC110 skins, they won't be quite as easy as copy paste but not far from it, if I get a free hr tonite I should be able to get a couple converted from the street version
we've reached a level of cars where I now have CTDS when I try to race with a few other mods (still works fine on its own and with DRM/ or a couple other smaller mods

That sounds great! It's an interesting car I think. Those wide fender flares are pretty cool.
Please let me know which cars and mods cause a problem and I'll see if I can have a look at them. I tried adding in the Alpine V6 from the Historix mod a little while ago and got CTDs too. I haven't dug into that one yet but I would like to because it looks like it would fit well with these. The Aston V8 was nothing but CTDs too before I overhauled it so it is possible to make it happen. I have had good luck racing the Fiat X1/9 with this mod so that's one that I know will work.

thats the thing, it ctds on mods I know work (or worked) I tend to throw as many different levels of cars as I can into the mix, the SO76, Opel GTs, beetles, and DRM... at one time I was able to run all at once, as more cars have been added I've been forced to eliminate the mods I add with it... if i leave the DRM mod out I can run all 3 of the others, if I put the DRM in I can only run one.
also I've noticed most the time I ever see the Aston its spawned as the pace car... not sure whats up with that.

Had the same problem so I made a rfactor lite for this on it's own. The one where I tried it had DRM and HistoricX installed---luckily they both still work with this removed.
About IMSA_GTX mod----very good-----good framerates with a medium modern computer and pretty nice looking, well optimized cars. Can't drive it for a couple of days as I wait for my new G27----the old one bit the dust unfortunately.

Thank you Dragon. I have a rather old computer that still runs XP so I work diligently at memory optimization. All the credit for the quality of the cars goes to the original authors of them - mostly BLT.

I finally managed to fix the problem with the headlight covers on the Monza. It turns out that I had assigned some materials wrongly. Now Mr Bear can have opaque headlight covers on cars with chassis style 1 - the wingless one, just like all the others.
The file is called DeKon_Monza_Chassis1_update.rar and it is just the chassis style 1 mesh. It can be just dropped into the DeKon_Monza directory and it will work. It doesn't have to be in the .mas file.

Feel bad I have neglected this project a little combination of sick child and exploring RF2 has eaten up my time. I will try to get back on track and get a small skin pack released soon ;-)
