I have a problem with the Ferrari 512BB/LM. This is the one ChaosZero converted from GTL. Here's a link to it : www.mediafire.com/download/gafuc8h3679ejas/Ferrari_512BBLM.rarI added a few more cars and removed a whole bunch of files from the car's .mas file that it doesn't actually use. These shots show the problem. The car looks fine in 3Dstudio but in the game the back-end is opaque. Could someone see what's going on with this please?

I have figured out what the problem is. There are two shapes separated by about 2cm in depth. The grill with the BB512 letters is behind the rear face of the body. They are mapped to separate textures and both have an alpha channel used to determine transparency. This is one thing that RF1 has always had a problem with - displaying overlayed semi-transparent objects.
Now, I have to figure out a combination of transparency settings that will make the game display them correctly. It is odd that 3DsimEd and the VehViewer can both do it but the game can't.

I gave up on this. I may try again later but my frustration level is too high right now.

There is a new twist to this. A friend gave me his version of this car and I get the same effect. However, he showed me some screen shots and the rear end looks exactly like it should. I'm not sure what the problem is. I have the latest version of drivers for my video card. I am beginning to think the video card is the problem.
Could someone please try this car and let me know how it works? PLEASE !!!

Note - you don't even have to run a race with it. Just load it into the spinner and see what the rear end looks like.
PLEASE.

since all body styles use this same WCextra.gmt. adding one line to the Gen files is all that is needed. very easy fix my brother.

make sure when you take all 3 model variants and cut the WCextra1 material from it, you need to purge the materials from the main car bodies list. you cant have WCextra in the materials list on any of the car body gmts.
every car must have this removed. and the grille gmt is the only thing that has wcextra1 in its material list.

I must have a defective video card because they still don't look right in the game.

I don't have the full mod that this goes into. send me a link to it so I can put it in the proper way. I rewrote stuff to use it in shift_street.
