I am looking forward to seeing the backfires you have. I tried and failed with the Cougar but I got them working on the 65 GTO.
I will be happy to add more wheel types. We can either make them an upgrade option or just use the GenString to select them. I'm OK with either option.

I worked some more on the backfires and I now have them going on all cars except the Cougar, Boss 302, and 69 Javelin. I will look into those a bit further.
Thanks for the tip !!!
I also noticed that I have an exhaust/backfire mismatch on the Firebird so I will straighten that out. What I mean is the exhaust pipes exit out the rear and the backfire is on the side.

that lil OBJ file thingy work out well?
i have the cougar set up awesome for HistorX. a lil personal mod for myself. what a hoot to drive. i gave it matching physics and power to the mustang. but added a lil weight in the HDV and killed a lil aero. just for realism.

Yes, it did and it's really weird. Several cars worked with no other changes. I had to tweak some cars to use the right textures and the right animation sequence so the game wouldn't CTD though so I have only three cars left. You said you have the Cougar's backfire working - do you have the Boss 302 working ? or the 69 Javelin ?

all i did was make an obj file and put your back fire GMT in it and it worked perfectly. i did with the cougar and the chevelle i think.

This game is so fickle. I have tried three different things for those backfires :
1: .gmt in the .mas file 2: .gmt outside in the car's directory 3: .gmt in the obj directory which was added to the search path.
and none of them will work for those three cars. I am going to try some different material names next.
The really annoying thing is the Javelin's backfire worked when the car was in the TA69 mod and I bet it's working with the Historix cars too isn't it ?

Say Donnie, ages ago you were going to paint the yellow RWR skin for the 71 Javelin. Did you ever get around to that ? This is the one I mean : I noticed that the Historix mod has it included so that is something to work from if you need it.

Great work guys, the Cougar is brilliant, well all the cars are, but man I love that Cougar !!!
Pony cars or "F body" sized US cars are the real muscle !!! the rest are just flab.... lol :-)
It's good to have all these cars together...
